Day 1: Genesis 1:1
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”
The Bible's first sentence answers the biggest question: why is there something instead of nothing? Your life isn't an accident. You were made on purpose by a God who speaks.
Ask: How would your week change if you really believed you were made on purpose?
Pray: Lord God, You made me and You know me. Help me find my purpose in You. Amen.
Day 2: Psalm 23:1
“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.”
'I shall not want' doesn't mean you'll get everything you want. It means that with Jesus you already have what you truly need.
Ask: What are you wanting right now that might be pulling you away from contentment?
Pray: Lord, teach me to be content in You. You are enough. Amen.
Day 3: John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
The world says love is a feeling. God shows that love is a gift that costs something. Whoever believes includes you, no matter what you've done.
Ask: What does it mean to you that God's love cost Him His Son?
Pray: Father, thank You for loving me before I loved You. Grow my faith in Jesus. Amen.
Day 4: Proverbs 3:5
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
Leaning on your own understanding is like leaning on a stick that might snap. God's wisdom holds when yours doesn't.
Ask: Where are you most tempted to rely only on yourself?
Pray: Lord, I give You my plans. Direct my path. Amen.
Day 5: Matthew 19:14
“But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”
Jesus said the kingdom belongs to people like children, who receive rather than earn. Faith is not a performance.
Ask: Do you ever feel like you have to earn God's love?
Pray: Lord Jesus, help me receive Your grace like a child. Amen.
Day 6: Philippians 4:6
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
Paul wrote this from prison. He didn't say life is easy. He said bring everything to God, and say thank You while you do.
Ask: What is something you can thank God for, even in a hard week?
Pray: Lord, I bring You my anxious thoughts. Give me Your peace. Amen.
Day 7: Ephesians 6:1
“Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.”
As you grow up, obedience changes, but honor never ends. Respecting your parents is part of following Jesus.
Ask: How can you honor your parents even when you disagree?
Pray: Lord, give me a respectful heart toward my parents. Amen.
Day 8: Joshua 1:9
“Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
Courage isn't the absence of fear. It's choosing to move forward because God goes with you.
Ask: Where is God calling you to be brave right now?
Pray: Lord, give me courage to follow You even when I'm afraid. Amen.
Day 9: Psalm 119:105
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
A lamp doesn't light the whole road, just enough for the next step. God doesn't always show the whole future, but His Word is enough for today.
Ask: How could reading Scripture daily change your decisions?
Pray: Lord, let Your Word guide my steps. Amen.
Day 10: 1 John 1:9
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Confession isn't about God finding out. He already knows. It's about receiving the forgiveness Jesus already won for you.
Ask: What keeps people from admitting their sins?
Pray: Lord, I confess my sins. Thank You for Your faithful forgiveness. Amen.
Day 11: Matthew 28:20
“Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.”
Jesus' last words in Matthew are a mission and a promise. You aren't sent alone.
Ask: How does knowing Jesus is with you change how you face the day?
Pray: Lord, send me and stay with me. Amen.
Day 12: Galatians 5:22-23
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”
These are qualities the Spirit grows, not a checklist to perform. Patience and self-control matter most when you're tested.
Ask: Which fruit is hardest for you right now?
Pray: Holy Spirit, grow patience and self-control in me. Amen.
Day 13: Romans 8:28
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
The 'good' here is being shaped to be like Jesus (v. 29), not getting an easy life. That changes how we read our hardest days.
Ask: What hard thing might God be using to shape you?
Pray: Lord, use everything in my life to make me more like Jesus. Amen.
Day 14: Psalm 46:1
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
'Very present' means God is not distant in your trouble. He's right there in it with you.
Ask: When have you felt God near in a hard time?
Pray: God, You are my refuge. Help me run to You first. Amen.
Day 15: Luke 2:52
“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”
Growing in wisdom takes time, mistakes and learning. Even Jesus grew. God is patient with your growth.
Ask: What's one area you want to grow in with God's help?
Pray: Lord, help me grow in wisdom and in favor with You. Amen.
Day 16: Isaiah 40:31
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Waiting on the Lord isn't doing nothing. It's trusting His timing instead of burning out on your own.
Ask: What are you waiting on God for?
Pray: Lord, renew my strength as I wait on You. Amen.
Day 17: Colossians 3:13
“Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.”
Forgiveness doesn't mean what happened was OK. It means you release the debt because Jesus paid yours.
Ask: Is there a grudge you're holding?
Pray: Lord, help me forgive as You have forgiven me. Amen.
Day 18: Psalm 139:14
“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”
The world tells you your worth depends on looks, likes or achievements. God says you're wonderfully made because He made you.
Ask: What lie about your worth do you need to replace with this truth?
Pray: Lord, help me see myself the way You see me. Amen.
Day 19: Micah 6:8
“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?”
Doing justice means standing up for what's right. Loving mercy means caring for people who are hurting. Walking humbly means remembering you're not God.
Ask: Where can you show justice or mercy at school or work?
Pray: Lord, help me live out justice, mercy and humility. Amen.
Day 20: Matthew 6:33
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Priorities show up in calendars and bank accounts. What you seek first reveals what you trust most.
Ask: What gets your first time and attention each day?
Pray: Lord, help me seek Your kingdom first. Amen.
Day 21: Hebrews 13:5
“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
Contentment is a secret weapon against comparison and social media envy. God's presence is worth more than anything you could buy.
Ask: What are you tempted to envy in others?
Pray: Lord, make me content because You are with me. Amen.
Day 22: Romans 3:23-24
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”
'Justified freely' means you can't earn it and you don't have to. Grace is God's gift, received by faith.
Ask: Why is it hard to accept something completely free?
Pray: Lord, thank You for justifying me freely by Your grace. Amen.
Day 23: 1 Corinthians 13:4
“Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up.”
This chapter describes Jesus perfectly, and shows us what love truly is: not a feeling but a way of treating people.
Ask: Read the verse with your name instead of 'charity.' Which part is hardest?
Pray: Jesus, fill me with Your patient, humble love. Amen.
Day 24: Deuteronomy 6:6-7
“And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children.”
One day you may be the one teaching faith to children. What you take to heart now is what you'll pass on.
Ask: What do you want to pass on someday?
Pray: Lord, write Your words on my heart. Amen.
Day 25: Lamentations 3:22-23
“It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
Jeremiah wrote this while Jerusalem lay in ruins. Even in the worst times, God's faithfulness doesn't run out.
Ask: How does this verse speak to a hard day?
Pray: Lord, thank You for mercies new every morning. Amen.
Day 26: John 14:6
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
In a culture that says all paths are equal, Jesus' words are bold. He doesn't just show the way, He is the way.
Ask: How would you explain this verse to a friend kindly?
Pray: Lord Jesus, keep me in You, my way, truth and life. Amen.
Day 27: Psalm 118:24
“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
This verse points to the day of Christ's resurrection (vv. 22-23). Because He lives, every day can hold joy.
Ask: How can you choose joy today?
Pray: Lord, this is Your day. Help me rejoice in it. Amen.
Day 28: Matthew 11:28
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Pressure about grades, friends and the future can wear you out. Jesus offers real rest for your soul.
Ask: What burden do you need to bring to Jesus?
Pray: Jesus, I'm tired. Give me Your rest. Amen.
Day 29: Acts 2:38
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
Peter spoke of forgiveness and the Holy Spirit. The promise is 'unto you, and to your children' (v. 39).
Ask: What promises does God give you?
Pray: Lord, thank You for Your forgiveness and Your Spirit. Amen.
Day 30: Romans 12:12
“Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.”
'Instant in prayer' means steady and constant in prayer. Prayer becomes a habit that holds you up when life gets hard.
Ask: What could help you pray more consistently?
Pray: Lord, make me steady in prayer. Amen.
Day 31: Revelation 21:4
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain.”
Christian hope isn't wishful thinking. It's God's promise of a new creation where death itself is gone.
Ask: How does this hope change how you face sad things?
Pray: Lord, thank You for the hope of a world with no more tears. Amen.
