Why get this book

Peter Marshall was a Scottish immigrant who became one of America's best-loved preachers and a confidant of the powerful. He was known for humility, humor and practical insight into God's ways. His wife Catherine tells his story in this moving biography, beginning with how his sermons caught her attention. It's for anyone who needs to see a real, flawed, faithful life. Honest note: it's an older biography with a mid-century tone, and its ending is heartbreaking. Next step: read 2 Timothy 4:7 and thank God for a faithful pastor in your life.
